WAN Solutions

Wide Area Networks tend to introduce latency between sites. This latency causes some LAN-based applications to slow. This slowness can be overcome via caching technology. In the 90s, caching technology was the forte of CacheFlow. CacheFlow became Blue Coat in 2001. In 2005 Blue Coat modified their caching solution to provide WAN optimization solutions. It took them a couple years to perfect the solution, but in 2007 they had entered the “leader’s quadrant” and in 2009 they became the #1 provider of the solution.

A WAN without a router is not a WAN. And a WAN without a firewall is not a best-practice implementation. The firewall solution and router solution are cornerstones in the Juniper line. GigaNetworks has worked with Juniper for the last few years and has provided support for many Florida clients when it comes to WAN implementation.

If the WAN issue that is being solved includes either a WAN-to-LAN connection or the acceleration of the data between WAN-connected sites, GigaNetworks can provide and install an effective and operational solution.
